W’burg hydrant flushing starts Monday (Nov. 28)

Date:

The City of Williamsburg will start flushing fire hydrants on Monday, Nov. 28, and the public is being warned that they may notice temporary periods of discolored water during and after flushing in their area.

This is a normal occurrence. If it should occur, let water run until it clears before using it.

The flushing will start at the water plant on Croley Bend Road and will progress towards Mt. Morgan. Flushing on the Highland Park side of town will take place throughout the week.

“We are sorry for the inconvenience, but this process is a major part of maintaining your water quality,” Williamsburg officials wrote in a release.
