W’burg native named Lindsey Wilson Uni. SGA President

A Whitley County resident has a leadership position this school year at Lindsey Wilson University.

Zachariah Lawson ’26 of Williamsburg is president of the Lindsey Wilson Student Government Association. He also serves as the student representative on the Lindsey Wilson University Board of Trustees.

This is Lawson’s second term as student government president, which is a student-elected position at Lindsey Wilson. Lawson is an English major with an emphasis in communication and professional writing.

The Lindsey Wilson Student Government Association is responsible for coordinating student clubs and organizations, student development, and student leadership. In addition to serving as a voice for student concerns and needs, the Lindsey Wilson Student Government Association assists with planning, promoting and organizing student activities and community service projects.

Lindsey Wilson University is a vibrant liberal arts university in Columbia, Kentucky. Founded in 1903 and affiliated with The United Methodist Church, the mission of Lindsey Wilson is to serve the educational needs of students by providing a living-learning environment within an atmosphere of active caring and Christian concern where every student, every day, learns and grows and feels like a real human being.
