W’burg summer kick off

The Kentucky Splash Waterpark and Campground officially opened for the season on May 30. To celebrate opening day, organizers hosted a drive-in movie the night before, followed by fireworks after the film ended. The movie shown was “The Way, Way Back,” a PG-13 film centered around a waterpark.  Attendees could purchase popcorn, cookies and ice cream during the event. Children spent the evening playing volleyball, riding scooters, throwing footballs and enjoying the park.
