Williamsburg man facing second DUI after hitting parked car

A Williamsburg man is facing a second-offense DUI charge after allegedly striking a parked vehicle in a north Corbin business’s parking lot Sunday afternoon.

peace-mug-for-webLaurel County Sheriff’s deputies charged 55-year-old Ronnie Peace with one count of operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense.

According to Sheriff John Root, deputies were called to the scene on West Cumberland Gap Pkwy. about 1:30 p.m. in response to a complaint that a white colored Toyota had struck a parked vehicle.

Deputy Keith Dinsmore made contact with the driver, later identified as Peace, and determined he was under the influence.

Peace was arrested and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center where he is being held on a $1,500 cash bond.
