13th Region Girls Tournament

The 13th Region Girls Tournament opened Monday night with the North Laurel Lady Jaguars taking on the Pineville Lady Lions. North Laurel entered the tournament as 11-point favorite. Pineville features an explosive offense led by Chelsea Smith. Smith averages 30 points a game.

North Laurel, a 5A school, is one of the largest schools in the region. Early in the game, the Lady Jaguars have a five-point lead on the Lady Lions, 13-8.
