Laura Lawson

Laura Lawson, age 91, of the Nevisdale Community in Williamsburg, KY, passed away Monday, July 23, 2024 at her home.
She was born January 21, 1933 in Nevisdale, KY, to the late Eli and Eva Anderson Smith.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Dewey Dewayne Smith; one brother, Mitchell Smith; and seven sisters, Pearl Brittian, Thelma Brittian, Oneida Ornduff, Louise Logan, Lillie Peace, Flora Leddington, and Mossie Smith.
She is survived by three children, Terry Smith (Tammie) of Williamsburg, KY, Gary Dean Smith of Williamsburg, KY, and Tammy Albright (Denver) of Lily, KY; five grandchildren, Stephanie Clark, Jennifer Smith, Haley Lay, Casey Jo Oudenhoven, Kayla Oudenhoven; 11 great-grandchildren, Jordan Justice, Ethan Justice, Bryson Justice, Kendyll Bargo, Kandice Clark, Lukas Nelson, Jerrell “Rell” Gibson, Natalie Oudenhoven, Nolan Lochridge, McKenley Lochridge, and Madalynn Lochridge; two great-great-grandchildren, Aubree Justice, and Everly Justice; four sisters, Buddy Brinson (Lonzo) of Somerset, KY, Doris Rogers of Somerset, KY, Shelby Powers of Williamsburg, KY, and Georgia Smith of Lily, KY; several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral service was Saturday July 27, at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Croley officiating.
Interment was in the Smith Cemetery at Nevisdale.
