Rev. Harvey Wayne Logan, age 76, of Rockholds, Kentucky passed from this life on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Baptist Health of Corbin.
He was born on October 20, 1948 in Woffard, Kentucky to the late Arvil Logan and Geneva (Harrison) Logan. In addition to his parents, Harvey is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean (Carman) Logan; an infant daughter, Angela Logan, and a son-in-law, Timothy Wilson.
Surviving family include his children, David Logan (and Darya) of Corbin, Sheila Cox (and Stanley) of Rockholds, and Jennifer Wilson of Rockholds); grandchildren, Angela Jones, Matthew Wilson, Donnie Wayne King, and David Logan, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Abram King, Macie King, Levi Wilson, Mitch Wilson, Willow Jones, and Malachi King.
Also surviving are Harvey’s brothers, Rev. Jim Logan of Rockholds, Carl Logan of Corbin, and Randy Logan of Rockholds; a sister, Kathy Mounce of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Harvey was a man of God and enjoyed nothing more than doing God’s work. He was ordanined at a young age, having pastored several churches over the last 53 years, Shady Lawn Freewill Baptist, Brayes Chapel Church of God, and Hayes Creek Church of God. Harvey had retired from Pepsi Cola Bottling Company as a Warehouse Manager after 30 years. When he was able, he loved to visit people, especially the sick. He was always witnessing the love of the Lord to others. He will be deeply missed, but his light will forever shine.
Funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14, at the Hayes Creek Church of God.
Burial followed in the Broyles Cemetery in Rockholds.
Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
