54 vendors lined up for 2025 Colonel Fest Friday (April 25) – Saturday (April 26)

Date:

A total of 54 vendors have been lined up for this year’s 2025 Colonel Fest, which will take place Friday and Saturday along Main Street in downtown Corbin.

This year’s event will feature craft vendors, food trucks, baked goods, a petting zoo, train rides, inflatables and more.

Corbin Downtown Manager Jacob Roan noted that there will also be live music and clowns lined up for this year’s event.

“Pray we have good weather Friday and Saturday,” Roan said.

Colonel Fest is slated to take place from 3 – 9 p.m. Friday, and from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday.

Roan told the Corbin City Commission Monday that some parts of the city will be getting cleaned up prior to the start of Colonel Fest as part of the Keep Corbin Clean program.

Groups of students from the University of the Cumberlands are slated to be in Corbin two days this week doing clean-up and beautification work in addition to several Corbin High School football players.

“We are really going to focus on the street lights and the trash cans and try to clean those up. We are also going to clean up the streets and the parks,” Roan said.

Roan noted that he and Corbin Tourism Director Nancy Conley have spoken about the Keep Corbin Clean program, and they are going to try to utilize some of the volunteer groups that have reached out to them wanting to help.

“We don’t have to have a set day or a set time. We just need to get them the materials that they need to go out into the community and keep Corbin clean,” Roan said.

Conley also made a presentation during the Corbin City Commission meeting Monday where she discussed the hanging basket flower project for all of the Main Street light poles and some of the light poles that go down Roy Kidd Avenue.

The flower baskets are currently being planted and will probably be hung sometime around Mother’s Day depending on the weather.

Conley added that the tourism commission has changed its monthly meeting time from 5:15 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month to 4:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month.
