Helicopter hoist rescue used to bring hiker to safety near Laurel River Dam

First responders from approximately a dozen agencies worked together late Friday afternoon and into Friday evening and ended up using a helicopter hoist rescue to bring an injured 18-year-old hiker to safety near Laurel River Dam.
