A Whitley County duo have been accused by a federal grand jury of making and conspiring to make methamphetamine and could face over 30 years of imprisonment and millions of dollars in fines if convicted.
Last Wednesday, Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael D. Pratt asked Magistrate Judge Hanly A. Ingram to issue an arrest warrant for Ronald Dugger and Kaci Brown, of Woodbine. The two were indicted by a grand jury last week on charges of conspiracy to make meth, for possessing a chemical ingredient to make methamphetamine, and for possessing equipment to manufacture meth. Additionally, Dugger faces a charge of possessing the drug.
According to the indictment, from some time in Dec. 2009 through Jan. 12, 2010, the two "knowingly" and "intentionally" attempted to manufacture five or more grams of meth.
As of press time, neither Dugger nor Brown has been arrested by authorities.
