Ethel Isaacs, 79, of Majak Drive, Corbin, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at her home.
She was born on March 23, 1937 in Williamsburg, to the late Ernest Akins and Jincy (Bennett) Akins.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, R.L. Akins, Ed Akins and his wife Joy, Ronald Akins and Terry Akins; sisters, Bernice Akins, Edith Watkins and her husband Sam, Shirley Knight, Anna Mahan and husband Dennis and Emma Sue Gillis.
She is survived by her husband Welmon Isaacs of Corbin; brother, Irvin Akins and wife Retha of Corbin; sister, Betty Taulbee and husband Delmer of Corbin; sisters-in-law, Barbara Ann Akins of Franklin, OH, Barbara Akins of Corbin, Bernice Wiseman of Mt. Healthy, OH and Judith Ann Adams of Richmond; brothers-in-law, Roy Gillis of Springboro, OH, Leon Isaacs of Ohio, Bobby Isaacs of Cincinnati, OH and Kenny Harris of Richmond; several nieces and nephews; and host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 10, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Hodge and Mr. David Moreland officiating.
She was laid to rest in the Akins Family Cemetery.
