Shirley Joan Hyslope, 78, of Lot Mud Creek, Williamsburg, departed this life on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at her home in Williamsburg.

She was born on April 2, 1939 in Harlan, to Fred and Ruth (Siler) Hyslope.

She was preceded in death by her parents Freed and Ruth Hyslope and nephew Carl Hyslope.

She attended the Sulphur Springs United Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her garden and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sister, Alice McDavid and husband Charles of Lecanto, FL; three brother(s), Larry Hyslope and wife Jackie of Williamsburg, Charles Hyslope and wife Sharon of Williamsburg, and Kenneth Hyslope and wife Judy of Okeechobee, FL; Special Nieces and Nephews; Keith Thomas, Christa Hyslope, Paul Hyslope, Jenny Hyslope, Aaron Joe Hyslope, and Rusty Hyslope; several great nieces and great nephews with a host of other family and friends to morn her passing.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, June 27, at the Croley Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Rose officiating.

Following the service she was laid to rest in the Lot Cemetery on Lot Mud Creek Road, Williamsburg.
