W’burg hopes to start charging county water districts more for water

Williamsburg officials say that it will be another three weeks or so before they will know for certain whether a recently fixed water leak on South Second Street is “the” elusive water leak that has been sought for well over a decade and believed to be responsible for much of the city’s high water loss rate, which is about 37 percent.

Williamsburg maintenance workers labored recently to repair South Second Street after a major water leak was found there, which caused a cavern under the road.
