Walter Osborne, Jr., 73, of Whittier, NC, formerly of Corbin, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 4, 2018, in Asheville, NC. Born February 26, 1945, he was the son of the late Walter and Marie Osborne. He was a U.S. Army veteran. In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nora; and three brothers: Fred, Glen, and Gary Osborne. He leaves behind a daughter, Ida Hicks of London and three grandchildren; and a son, Richard Osborne of Burnside, and one grandson; as well as several step children; and seven siblings: Roscoe, Bob, James, Linda, Kathy, Jeanne, and Darrell; as well as other loving family and many friends....

Virginia D. Gregory, 82, of Williamsburg, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, at UK Medical Center in Lexington. Born in Grand Rapids, MI, Virginia was the daughter of the late C.C. Wood and Helen Eaton Wood. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Gregory, daughter Mary Clowers, and brother Bill Wood. Virginia is survived by three daughters: Linda Rakes, Helen Marcus, and Judith Meadors; and by several grandchildren. Jerry Robert Evans, of Virginia Beach, VA formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was born September 25, 1942 to the late Arnold and Martha Evans. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers; Wayne, Harold and Glenn Evans. He was a member of the Operating Engineers and worked on many projects. As a United States Marine, he was deployed to Vietnam and later served as a marksmanship instructor at Quantico.
