Christine Mary Rains, 75, of Springboro, OH departed this life on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Hillsprings Nursing home in Springboro, OH.
She was born on March 18, 1943 in Muhlenberg County, to the late Melton Brown and Rose (Meadors) Brown.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Rains; three brothers, Lindell Brown, Alden Brown and George (GS) Brown and an infant sister.
Christine was a member of Ryans Creek Baptist Church where she was saved and baptized on September 15, 1957.
She is survived by her son CW-3 Shawn E. Rains (U.S. Army) and wife Kendra of Cameron, N.C.; three grandsons, Derrick Rains, Kyle Rains and Alexander Rains of Cameron, N.C.; two sisters, Thelma Reaves and husband Rev. Carl Reaves of Williamsburg and Bonnie Scott and husband Bill Scott of Springboro, OH; sister-in-law, Anna Brown of Williamsburg; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
The funeral service was held Friday, June 22, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Anthony Reaves, Rev. Carl Reaves and CW3-Shawn Rains (U.S. Army) officiating.
Following the service she was laid to rest in the Jellico Creek Cemetery.
