Mildred “Midge” Mayne Lake, 88, of Sally Watson Road, Williamsburg, departed this life on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Baptist Health in Lexington.
She was born on February 1, 1930 in Whitley County, to the late Thomas and Amelia Faulkner Mayne.
She loved spending time with her family, friends and pets. She was an educator for over 50 years in Kentucky and Ohio.
She was also preceded in death by two son(s), Michael Lake and Tommy Lynn Lake, sisters, Evodene Owens and Edna Mayne and two brothers William Mayne and Thomas Mayne.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Lake of Williamsburg; grandson Jeremy Lake of Williamsburg, two brothers, Bibby Joe Mayne and wife Rose of Berea and Johnny Mayne and wife Shirley of Cohran, GA; two sister-in-law’s Margie Mayne of Jellico, TN. and Edna Mayne of Racine, WI.; special family members: Donna, Karin and Brenda; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, June 26, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Ande Myers and Rev. Bo McComas officiating.
Following the service she was laid to rest in the Mayne Family Cemetery.
