Corbin City Commission puts brakes on police chief hiring, decides to seek applicants

Corbin Interim Police Chief Rusty Hedrick may yet become the next chief, but it will not happen without the city seeing who else may be interested in the job.

At Tuesday’s special called meeting of the Corbin City Commission, the commissioners failed to approve a motion to hire Hedrick and later approved a motion authorizing City Manager Marlon Sams to advertise for a police chief.
