Corbin woman arrested for drug trafficking

A Corbin woman was arrested Tuesday drug trafficking out of her home.

According to Corbin Police, 52-year-old Donna Phipps was charged with first-degree trafficking in controlled substances after a confidential informant working with authorities purchased oxycodone from her at her home on Roy Kidd Ave.

Police executed a search warrant at Phipps’ residence following the drug buy. She was taken into custody along with Roy Neal who was charged with possession of marijuana.

Phipps was also served with a Laurel County bench warrant for failure to appear in court on other outstanding charges. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

Corbin Police Lt. Glenn Taylor is continuing an investigation into the case. He was assisted at the scene by Major Rob Jones, Capt. Coy Wilson, Det. Rusty Hedrick, Lt. Rick Baker and Ptl. Jeff Hill.
