Eastern 75, Corbin 61

Date:

Injuries and rebounding were the key to this loss. How do you play with the same mind set when one of your top players doesn’t get to play and one gets hurt during the game. Blake Hendrickson and Josh Smith. Blake was hurt during a morning practice and Josh twisted an ankle during the game.

Everyone knew rebounding would be a key. It was and Eastern won that battle 49-30. They were flying to the ball.

Josh Crawford had a “career” game, scoring 33 points and pulling down nine rebounds. He hit 12 of 21 from the field and was 9 of 11 from the free throw line.

Chris Dowe was everything I expected and more. The senior guard scored 27 points. He made some moves that I am sure the college guys were watching.

Corbin never gave up. They could have quit and gotten drilled but, played hard until the end.
