James “Jim” Thomas

James “Jim” Thomas, age 82, of Newcomb, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born January 2, 1941 in Harlan, Kentucky.
Jim is preceded in death by daughter, Suzette Webb; wife, Geneice Ann (Taylor) Thomas; father, Robert “Bob” Thomas; mother, Ethel Dean (Whitson) Thomas; brother, Luther Ray Thomas; and sister, Wanda Jean Russell.
He is survived by daughters, Melissa Thomas, and Gretchen Thomas; grandchildren, Brittany Duncan and husband Zach, Zack Davis and wife Laura, Destany Osborn and husband Shane, Jamie Murray and husband Jered, Gabe Webb and wife Cody; great grandchildren, Emma, Kabella, RaeLynn, KaeBree, Montgomery and Kutler; son-in-law, Gary Webb; brothers and sisters, Sonny Thomas and wife Christine, Betty Sue Branam and husband John, Buggs Thomas and wife Judy, Joyce McNealy, Danny Lee Thomas, and Debbie Lynn Owens; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn his passing.
Graveside service was Friday, January 13, in the Douglas Cemetery, Wooldridge community with Rev. Randy Bargo, Rev. Junior Dople and Rev. Joe Morgan officiating.
