Johnny L. Lawson, 49, of Smith Hill Road, Williamsburg, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at the Jellico Community Hospital.

He was born on August 8, 1968 in Jellico, TN.

He was a member of the Mountain Ash Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Nathan Lawson; brother, Estel Leach; paternal grandparents, Nate and Wyula Lawson; maternal grandparents, Roy and Gladys Leach.

He is survived by wife, Lisa (Teague) Lawson; sons, Jonathan Lawson and Trevor Lawson, all of Williamsburg; mother, Florence Sue (Leach) Lawson, of Jacksboro, TN; sisters and brothers, Rosa Poe, of Williamsburg; Jenny Furgerson, of LaFollette, TN; Kathy Rowe, and husband, Kenny, of the Kensee Hollow community of Whitley County; Tim Lawson, and wife, Tammy, of Williamsburg; Sheila Davis, and husband, Jeff, of Jacksboro, TN; Angie Howard, and husband, Dale, of Robbins, TN; several nieces and nephews; and a host of neighbors, friends and other relatives to mourn his passing.

The funeral services were held Saturday, January 6, with Rev. Jerome Leach officiating.

Burial followed in the Pet Lawson Cemetery in the Cane Creek community of Whitley County.

Teddy Bills, Ray Castle, Christopher Carpenter, Jeff Davis, Dale Howard, Kenny Rowe and Michael Teague served as pallbearers.

Cox & Son Funeral Home of Jellico was in charge of all arrangements.
