Roy C. Rhodes, affectionately known as RC, of Siler, Kentucky, born on July 11, 1947, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025.
RC was a resilient man who faced adversity with grace, always persevering through life’s challenges. He lived a humble life, devoted to his family and faith, and was a proud member of the Wofford Baptist Church.
RC spent his career as a heavy equipment operator, a testament to his hardworking and steadfast nature. He was a proud veteran of the US Army, having served courageously during the Vietnam War.
RC was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Louise Rhodes; his son, Roy Jr.; and his brothers, Earl, Junior, and Kenneth Rhodes.
He is survived by his son Paul (Kristy) Rhodes; his grandchildren, Rev. Roy Joe (Lauren) Rhodes and Megan (Tyler) Ellis; his great-grandchildren, Lainey Jo Ellis and Lily Jo Rhodes; and his sisters, Carolyn (Lloyd) Buttery and Brenda Rhodes.
RC’s family was his world, and his love for them ran deep. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Funeral service was held on Sunday, December 21 at Croley Funeral Home. Burial followed at Rhodes Cemetery in Williamsburg.
