The Hunt and the Harvest hosted a special appreciation dinner for all of the first responders belonging to agencies that responded to the recent downtown fire that destroyed several businesses and apartments.

Owner Adam Howard said that he felt “terrified and helpless” on the night of the fire as he watched firefighters work through the night before finally extinguishing the blaze.

Luckily, the fire was finally stopped before it damaged Howard’s law office and restaurant.

Howard received help from Emergency Management Director Jerry Rains to contact all responding agencies and send out invitations for the dinner.

In all, between 65-70 people showed up.

For details on future special events, Howard said to follow along with the Hunt and the Harvest on Facebook.
