William “Bill” Moye

William “Bill” Moye,  89, of Corbin, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Baptist Health Corbin.

Born in San Antonio, Texas, Bill was the son of the late Robert M. Moye and Mercy Dupree Moye. He was also preceded in death by his son William “Stan” Moye.

He was a member of Grace on the Hill United Methodist Church where he was the former leader of Goodwill Fellowship Group.

He had also been President and member of Dudes and Dolls Square Dancing. Bill was a U.S. Veteran of the Army-Air Force serving post WWII. A business owner, he was Co-Founder of Drives & Conveyors and Co-Founder of The Hose House, both in Corbin.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Frances Williamson Moye; sons Gary Allen Moye of Pigeon Forge, TN and Derell David Moye and wife Brenda of Corbin; grandchildren Carolyn, Becky, Cindy, Amanda, Jeremy, Daniel, Christopher, and Ryan; great-grandchildren Chloe, Caitlyn, Aaron, Dylan, Dusty, Angel and Ethan; sister Patricia Trenton (Jimmy) of Jackson; brother Johnny Moye (Lydia) of Morristown; and by several nieces and nephews, all who mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 11,  at Grace on the Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Weyman McGuire and Gus Clouse officiating.

Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery with military graveside honors by American Legion Post 88.

Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
