Partin appointed as new Whitley County Surveyor

Date:

There is now a new Whitley County Surveyor.

Whitley County Judge-Executive Pat White Jr. recently swore in Jesse Partin as the new Whitley County Surveyor.

Long time incumbent Whitley County Surveyor Bob Moses didn’t file seeking to run for re-election to another four-year term earlier this year.

He resigned as county surveyor on July 19.

Whitley County Judge-Executive Pat White Jr. appointed Jesse Partin on Aug. 1 to replace Moses and fill out the remainder of his current term in office.

Partin filed as a write-in candidate on Tuesday seeking to be elected to the county surveyor’s position for a four-year term during this November’s General Election.

The county surveyor position doesn’t pay, but the office holder does get an office in the courthouse.
