Ernie Curtis Freeman

Date:

Ernie Curtis Freeman, 67, of Williamsburg, Kentucky was born on August 21, 1957, in Jellico, TN, was a man whose radiant smile and infectious laugh filled every room.
A welder by trade, Ernie spent his career at General Motors, where he was known for his dedication, hard work, and ability to make even the most arduous tasks enjoyable. His love for his work was only surpassed by his love for his family and the great outdoors. For Ernie, fishing was never just about the catch, but about the tranquility and connection with nature it brought him.
Ernie’s loving spirit continues to live on in his wife of over 49 years, Marlene Freeman of Williamsburg, KY; his children, Ernie Freeman (Lynn) of Williamsburg, KY, Joey “Bubba” Freeman (Andrea) of Corbin, KY, and Beth Baird (Brandon) of Williamsburg, KY; and his brother, Jim “Jimbo” Freeman (Shawn) of Williamsburg, KY. He was a proud grandfather, to Kendal Freeman, Olivia Freeman, Briona Freeman, Ethan Freeman, HayLee Baird, and Jaylah Freeman; two great grandchildren, Asher Freeman and Ace Freeman; and his bonus grandchildren, Riley Jones, Logan Jones, Milli Phillips, and Isaac Faulkner, whose lives he blessed with his wisdom, humor, and unconditional love.
His parents, Avery and Joey Freeman; and his brother, Kenny Freeman, welcomed him into eternal rest.
Ernie’s life was filled with memorable moments, joyous laughter, and the kind of love that leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of those he encountered.
The funeral service was held at the Croley Funeral Home on Sunday, January 12, with Rev. Bob Bunch and Rev. Paul Rhodes officiating.
The burial followed at the McKiddy Cemetery in Siler, KY.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family to help with funeral costs.
In memory of Ernie, we invite you to share your memories and photos on his memorial page. Let us not only mourn his passing but celebrate his life and the joy he brought to each of us. His spirit lives on in our hearts and in each story we share. Let us remember Ernie not with sadness, but with the laughter, love, and warmth he brought to our lives.
