NEW Tristan Hall mug

The sole remaining criminal case against a Corbin man who was originally accused of trying to hire a hit man on the Internet, attempting to intimidate prosecutors and insurance fraud, will move forward, but a judge is considering whether it should be dismissed prior to trial.

Tristan Hall, 32, now faces only a misdemeanor charge of hindering prosecution or apprehension.

In 2014, authorities say he tried to hide the whereabouts of his former girlfriend, Angela Reeves, when they came to his Williamsburg residence with arrest warrants for the duo. All of the other felony charges against Hall have been dismissed, with prejudice.

During a pre-trial hearing in Whitley District Court in Williamsburg Monday, Hall’s attorney, Herbert Moncier argued that because the case has taken so long to get to trial, Reeves is now no longer able to testify in the case because she cannot be located.
