Jack Prewitt, 70 of Williamsburg, passed away Wednesday May 3, 2017 at his home. He was born December 4, 1946 to the late Prince Elvin Prewitt and the late Anna Stark Prewitt. He is survived by a sister Margaret A. Ellis (David) of Williamsburg, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral service were held Saturday May 6,  at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Waddell and Rev. Rob Powers officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery Davis Addition. He was born in Harper, WV, and was retired from the US Army with over 20 years service having served in Korea. Gene Comer, 84, departed this life on April 30 following a lingering illness. His loss is deeply mourned by his family and many friends. Gene was well known and respected in the Corbin community. Gene was born in Jackson County, WV, and served in the United States Air Force. After leaving the service he worked for the Baldwin Piano and Organ Company in Cincinnati, after which he joined the L&N railroad which later became part of the CSX railroad company.
